So cute. So nice. Beachfront 5BR sleeps up to 18. Wide open beach feels like your own. Expansive views from the BIG decks. Whether sunrise or sunset, coffee or cocktails, you’ll love it! Guest favorite since we bought it. The heatable pool is in! It is 21x11x5 and sheltered under the southern side of the home. New pool pics too! Extraordinary place! Come relax in our home.

Wifi! You bet. Strong. Very usable for work or play. A Keurig, and two drip coffee makers, because… coffee! Coffee not your thing? Ice! Stand alone ice maker, and ice maker in the fridge too. Roku on the main living room tv for those who want to login to their streaming services from the vacation!

More! Many summer weeks gone already! Get it before it’s gone.

We’ve christened her the Blue Heron, because she reminds us a bit of that majestic seaside bird, plus check out that blue, and the reflection of the sky too!

LOCATION!
OMG. The BEST wide open beach area right behind your home, and those views from all the BIG decks? Oh so awesome! Beachfront. Yeah, THIS is beachfront!

POOL?
You bet! Absolutely. Awesome heatable pool sheltered under the home for a little respite from the hot hot hot of the sun! Private heatable pool. No sharing. 20x10x3-5′ Rectangle, and added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82-84′ (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a nightly surcharge that varies by season and is per night for length of stay (the 12 month range has been $65-85 depending on season) gas is expensive right now, this does not actually recoup the cost!). Simply request the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and any time up to at least a few days before check in so we can get it on before you arrive. See our FAQ about heatable pools too. The pool is beachside, in the sun, with an expansive deck area around it, PLUS a nice shaded and sheltered area to escape the heat, right under the home. Nice!

EXTRA FRIDGE (and an ice maker too)
Extra fridge? Of course! Full size extra fridge, right around the corner from the kitchen! Oh, and under counter ice maker too (and one in the fridge… because… ice!).

BEACH ACCESS
Um, yeah! BEACHFRONT. Right out the back door. Nothing between you and the water but sand!

PARKING
There is available onsite parking for 4-6 cars.

WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That’s why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what’s the internet like? It is generally rock solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test–sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests “troubleshooting” it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!

SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a “starter supply” of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made–instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn’t have to be laundered) AND more sanitary–housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also… all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Please inquire. Subject to restrictions which often vary by season. Again, please inquire.

Snowbirds welcome. Inquire for best rates. No smoking please. Kids welcome! Weddings and reunions okay too!

And if Blue Heron is not quite the right size, we own several more homes, bigger, smaller. What do you need? Also also! Blue Heron is only a couple doors east of Dancing Dolphin (and that many west of Egret and Erica’s Sandpiper) so you can be close but not too close to other people if that’s the way you roll!

This listing is for BOTH sides of the duplex together. Like having a 10 bedroom but with two of almost everything: kitchens, living rooms, more! Plus, a little bit of separation since even though you will be next door to each other, you won’t all be in one place. When renting both sides, guests may unlock the connecting door on the deck to allow for access between the two sides without going up and down the stairs from the main entries.

This is one of my guests’ favorite places. Lots of repeat visitors each year! Great price for a recently redone beachfront duplex. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. Full kitchen, living room, and laundry per side.

Beach Axis’ deck is as close to the gulf as you can get in the area. Folks LOVE LOVE LOVE its gulf front decks! Most nearby units have their pool behind the homes, putting the pool between you and the beach. Not Beach Axis. Beach Axis’ pool is streetside. Sit on the deck, enjoy the sunset, while most neighbors are behind you! How nice is that! The pool is private to the two sides of the duplex—not shared with any other home.

One side perfect for your group, then book my Beach Axis East and Beach Axis West listings for the individual units. Take one or both, you’ll have a great stay either way! For both sides, check out the combined Beach Axis East & West listing!

This listing is for BOTH sides of the Sundancer (East AND West) together as a single big home! There is a connecting door on the main level. You may also rent the east and west sides as stand alone units, under separate listings. This listing is for 10 bedrooms sleeping up to 36!

Even better than a single stand alone 10 bedroom home! 2 of everything (except the pool, and of course the refrigerators: you’d have FOUR fridges!).

We own the Sundancer East, Sundancer West, or you can book them together as a 10BR as Sundancer East & West!

Sundancer is a beautiful duplex located directly on the beach of the Gulf! Open the back doors and enjoy sun, surf, and sand!

Location. Location. Location. Right on the beach, The Sundancer duplex is in a terrific location: right across the street from Waves Grocery, a restaurant, ice cream, and more! In season: S&S Seafood is open. Order up some shrimp, corn, and potatoes steamed (I choose cajun, of course!). The pool on Sundancer is beachside, fairly sheltered, fenced, and open to the sun, and there is a lot of space under the home (on concrete) to escape the heat and sun if you need to do so!

Each side has 5 bedrooms

3rd Floor N BR: Two Triple Bunks (single over full)
4th Floor S Master: King

Additionally, there are Queen Sleeper Sofas in the 3rd floor lounge bonus room as well as in the 2nd Floor (main) living room.

ALL King bedrooms have their own en suite bath. The bunk room and bonus room QSS share a common bath.

Each side has TWO, yes two, master bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other on the 4th floor beachfront, each with a tub with separate shower.

TWO REFRIGERATORS
Two? Per side? Yes two. Because you won’t want to stay somewhere without an extra fridge once you have had them.

POOL
Big. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It’s a big 25x14x3-5′ Rectangle Lounge chairs are provided around the pool. The pool is NOT heatable. You will find that to be rare, and clearly noted in a listing, and usually involve a per night surcharge. The pool is, however, open all year.

This duplex house is located directly on the beach of the Gulf. Beach Axis is completely furnished and professionally decorated. It has a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and microwave.

Sea Urchins has a sweet private pool for each side, and the gulf is directly across the road. There’s nothing standing between you and the water except West Beach Blvd, and then you come back home for your own private dip in the pool! AND, you get to the beach, crossing the road, at a CROSSWALK right at the corner of our property. Easy…

Each side of the duplex is a 5 bedroom and 5 bath unit.

Electronics abound in these homes: televisions, cable, excellent mesh wifi internet, smart TVs populate these stylish, yet comfortable, units. EACH unit has TWO wet bars and TWO refrigerators. If you haven’t stayed in a vacation home with these extras, you’ll find out what you’ve been missing and never want to stay somewhere without them! From kid’s drinks to adult beverages to lots of leftover shrimp, having the extra space is a must for the well-seasoned travelers.

Because of high demand during the summer season, the units are available for full week stays only: in the end, though, don’t you really deserve a whole week of rest, relaxation, and fun!

POOL? You be! Private PER side
Yes, each side of Sea Urchins has its own pool! 27x12x3-5′ Rectangle. Big! In the sun! Lots of room to lounge.

BEACH ACCESS?
Like being beach front, but not paying for beachfront! The public beach is right across the street from Sea Urchins AND there is a pedestrian crosswalk, with signage and light, right off the corner of our place! Easy beach access… without paying beachfront prices!

WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That’s why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what’s the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test–sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests “troubleshooting” it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!

SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a “starter supply” of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made–instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn’t have to be laundered) AND more sanitary–housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also… all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

Not only are you in the perfect location for enjoying all that Gulf Shores has to offer, the home itself is designed to maximize your vacation experience with its large Gulf front pool, spacious living area with expansive Gulf views, flat panel TV’s in the living area and bedrooms and perfect bedding for the entire family.

LOCATION!
Walkable to Bahama Bob’s, Hangout, so much more! Convenient to walk to ice cream, Island Outfitters (right across 4th street!), beverage store, Italian ice, and more! 10 minutes walk to the Hangout, 2 minutes to Bahama Bobs (we are West of Bahama Bobs). So close to everything, yet in your own private home, and… you get your own private heatable pool. No sharing unlike condos etc!

POOL?
You bet. Private heatable private pool. No sharing. BIG too: 26x15x3-5′ Rectangle, and dded a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82-84′ (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a nightly surcharge that varies by season and is per night for length of stay (the 12 month range has been $65-85 depending on season) gas is expensive right now, this does not actually recoup the cost!). Simply request the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and any time up to at least a few days before check in so we can get it on before you arrive. See our FAQ about heatable pools too. The pool is beachside, in the sun, with an expansive deck area around it, PLUS a nice shaded and sheltered area to escape the heat, right under the home. Nice!

EXTRA FRIDGE
We added an extra full size fridge under the stairs in the entry by the kitchen. Because… you NEED two fridges when at the beach!

BEACH ACCESS
Beach access could not be easier! Walk outside and their is nothing between you and the beach except your own private pool. Its RIGHT there. Serious beach access, seriously right on the beach, and right in the middle of everything too!

PARKING
There is available onsite parking for as many vehicles as you should be reasonably bringing to a 5 bedroom. 8 cars? Sure. 10 maybe. But do you really need than many cars? 5-6 cars would have lots of room to spread out!

Please note: this home is absolutely beachfront. It is located right on the gulf, with nothing between you and the gulf except the sand dunes. However, as with many areas on the gulf, you CANNOT walk directly from the back of this home to the water because of the protected dunes. They serve a very important role in protecting the homes, and harboring wildlife, and walking over them is not allowed as it breaks them down. However, there is a nice wide boardwalk right off our little private cul de sac (in fact, right by the closest of the pools which is ALSO right on our cul de sac, 2 homes over, so “right there”). This short boardwalk takes you directly to the beach/water, and, as a bonus, is great for folks who may have mobility concerns or may be lugging stuff in wagons or what have you!

PLANTATION RESORT. AMENITIES GALORE!
The “Gulf and Golf” is located in the Plantation resort, next to the beautiful 18 hole Kiva Dunes Championship Golf Course. Approximately 12 miles west of Gulf Shores on Fort Morgan Parkway at Gulf Shores Plantation. Same great white sand beaches! Wonderful amenities, and at a great rate!

Kiva Grill and Sassy Bass Island Grill are both in the resort, and less than a half mile walk from this beachfront unit! Food, drink. Ultra convenient!

Plus, as an added bonus, our Fort Morgan vacation homes are not currently subject to the same restrictions on setting up umbrellas and other amenities overnight as those in Gulf Shores itself.

We offer HUGE discounts for month-long winter stays (up to 80%), a 7 for the price of 6 night special many times of the year (it is already factored into weekly pricing on VRBO!), and if you have a special request, e.g., for a non-Saturday check-in, we are happy to consider it. Please note, generally stays must be Saturday to Saturday during the summer–G&G is just way to popular and busy then to make exceptions. Sorry!

On Golden Pond #5, aka OGP5! 5BR Lagoonfront private home. A wonderful house is located directly on the waterfront of Little Lagoon with easy access to the community dock, beach, and pool. Carefree days for up to 21, and a great deal too!

In addition to the awesome lagoon front features, like the dock and small beach, access to the Gulf is via the 12th street public access which is a short direct walk up 12th (right next to our Seafoam home!).

LOCATION!
Lagoon front. This home has fabulous views over the lagoon. So nice. So tranquil. And those sunsets! Wow! Situated in a small neighborhood of mostly owner occupied homes, this great home shares a very cool lagoon front pool with the neighborhood and shares a lagoon fishing dock too!

POOL?
You bet. Guests of OGP5 have access to the community pool, right on the lagoon! Bonus, there is a small lagoon side beach right by the pool, along with a fishing dock! The pool is 24×14′ big, and 3-5′ deep!

BEACH ACCESS
OGP 5 has access to the small lagoon side beach by the community pool, and it is only a short walk of less than 1/4 mile to the beach the 13th street public beach (next to my Seafoam home!). These is a pedestrian cross walk to help you get across West Beach to that public beach too! PLUS there is a back trail from near our home to access all the fun and fishing at Calloway Bridge too!

PARKING
There is available onsite parking for 4-5 vehicles.

WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That’s why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what’s the internet like? It is generally rock solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test–sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests “troubleshooting” it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!

SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a “starter supply” of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made–instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn’t have to be laundered) AND more sanitary–housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also… all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Please inquire. Subject to restrictions which often vary by season. Again, please inquire.

No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

UPDATE: 2022-11. Big renovation complete. All new floors, decks, countertops, living room furnishings, and so much more. Brand new virtual tour!

The Dancing Dolphin is a gorgeous home that is located directly on the Gulf! It has 10 foot ceilings with crown molding, is professionally decorated, and has wonderful gulf views from most rooms, including 4 out of 5 bedrooms!

Added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82′ (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a nightly surcharge (varies by season and with gas market price, has been $60-85 per night, just inquire, and must be for length of stay (this is based on market pricing for propane gas, and can change at any time, both up and down, until added to a reservation). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. Simply request the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a week before check in so we can get it on before you arrive.

Comfortably sleeping 21 with four of the five bedrooms located on the gulf side so you can wake up to the water out your window. The Dancing Dolphin in Gulf Shores also has a large open living/dining/kitchen area, and includes TWO Gulf Front Master Bedrooms, each with its own tub and separate shower.

Other amenities at the Dancing Dolphin in Gulf Shores include a POOL, televisions, cable, internet, central air, ceiling fans throughout, TWO refrigerators with ice makers, washer & dryer, 2 dishwashers, outside showers and a picnic table.

BONUS FRIDGE AND DISHWASHER
Yep. TWO refrigerators and two dishwashers… You won’t want to ever have just one again!

PARKING
