We own both the the Night Heron, East Unit, and the Night Heron, West, Unit, or you can book them together as a 12BR, sleeping 36, as the Night Heron, East & West! Private pool PER SIDE! However you choose to slice and dice it, it will be a great stay!

BRAND NEW. Available for Summer 2021. Construction completes early May. High end features and furnishings. Awesome open floor plan on main level. Well-accommodated kitchen with island.

LOCATION!
Walkable to Bahama Bob’s, Hangout, so much more! Convenient to walk to ice cream, Island Outfitters (right across 4th street!), beverage store, and more! 10 minutes walk to the Hangout, 2 minutes to Bahama Bobs (we are EAST if Bahama Bobs). So close to everything, yet in your own private duplex, whether you rent one side, or both, you get your own private pool (TWO if you rent both sides!). No sharing unlike condos etc!

POOL?
You bet. Private PER SIDE! EACH UNIT has its OWN private pool. No sharing.

BEDDING
Each side of the Night Heron sleeps 18 in beds. NO SLEEPER SOFAS.

3rd Floor, Bedroom 3: King + Bunk (north, interior wall)
3rd Floor, Bedroom 4: 2 Twin over Full Bunks (sleeping up to 3 each)

All bedrooms have private en suite bathrooms, except the bunk room. One bedroom’s bathroom on each floor has hallway access as well for common use.

EXTRA FRIDGE
We added an extra fridge in an outside storage area. Pull up, unload. Done. Need a beverage while at the pool? Walk over to your fridge without having to trek inside. Full size extra fridge!

BEACH ACCESS
Beach access could not be easier! The 4th Street public beach is right across the street. How do you get there? Walk out the door, go to to the stop light in front of the property, push button, and cross the street! No crossing random places or getting yelled at for short cutting through private property!

PARKING
There is available onsite parking for 4 cars per side (2 under the side, 2 in front of the side). Additional overflow parking is available a few blocks away if needed and by request.

WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That’s why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what’s the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test–sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests “troubleshooting” it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!

No smoking please. No pets. Snowbirds welcome!

Cottages at Romar Lot#9: The Emerald

Emerald is a brand new 12 bedroom family-friendly luxury beach home located directly on the beach in an exclusive, gated community with zero-entry pools. Handicapped accessible features. Elevators. Firepit. The perfect vacation home for large groups, or small ones that like lots of space!

The Emerald sleeps 44 with 8 king beds (sleeping 16), 8 combo full/single bunks (full beds under, with a single above, sleeping 24), and 2 regular single bunks, sleeping 4 more, for a total of 44! No uncomfortable sleeper sofa’s for you, no way. There are 3 beach side living rooms, one on each floor, in this home. Need a beverage? There are wet bars with mini-fridges and stand-alone ice-makers in the second and third floor living rooms so you can save yourself the trip down the stairs (or elevator!). Each floor also has its own washer and dryer because when you are on vacation why would you want to carry your clothes up and down the stairs (or in the elevator) more than you absolutely have to!?

In addition to the community pool, Emerald at the Cottages at Romar also has its own private, elevated pool at living room level. Sit in your living room, watch your kids play in the pool outside, how cool is that!?

And if 12 bedrooms is just a little too big for you, check out Diamond, a 10 bedroom home right next door, or any of our other wonderful family-owned homes. Emerald and Sapphire are identical 12 BR units, so if you want to sleep up to 88, well, that’d do it!

Please note that the Cottages at Romar neighborhood association has determined that no weddings or special events may be hosted in the property. This is applicable to our Jewels by the Sea. However, although you cannot host weddings or special events at the Diamond, Emerald, or Sapphire, you certainly can stay their during your trip and enjoy these large homes, their luxury, and the terrific neighborhood amenities.
